The anti-ageing benefits of meso-gliding

Tired of your acne scars? Wanting to tackle your fine lines? The meso-gliding treatment might be for you. Haven’t heard of it before? Rita Porreca, dermal therapist and owner of Cosmedic Professionals, explains how it works. “Meso-gliding uses multiple needles that vertically pierce the skin with an automatic vibrating function, infusing product into the dermal layer. Meso-gliding is suited for all skin types – it can treat acne, pigmentation and open pores and can also rebuild collagen. It can also benefit acne scarring and stretch marks.”

Read on to find out what happened when Rita gave beautyheaven’s Kym a meso-gliding treatment when she visited Cosmedic Professionals...
What treatment did you get and where?
“I received the meso-gliding full face and neck treatment at Cosmedic Professionals in Five Dock, NSW Sydney.”
From start to finish, what did the treatment involve?
“Initially, Rita, my physician, described the treatment and identified my major skin concerns. This would allow her to tailor the serums for the best outcome for my problem areas. I mentioned to her that I wasn't happy with my pigmentation and fine lines. She explained she would use a combination cocktail serum with the meso-gliding tool to target these concerns.
Rita gently cleansed and assessed my whole face and neck area, then selected and mixed the correct serum for my treatment. She then used the meso pen-like tool, which is a micro-needling pen that contains 12 microscopic needles that can be varied in depth according to patient's requirements. The pen glided over my whole face and neck, which does feel a little uncomfortable. I'm not sure whether it was the sound of the pen, or just the thought of the micro needles penetrating my skin that felt strange. After the treatment was finished, Rita applied a soothing cloth mask which for approximately twenty minutes. This felt cool and soothing after the needling. When the mask was removed, Rita assessed my skin, applied sunscreen to it, and asked how my skin felt.

How did your skin feel immediately after the treatment?

“After the treatment, my puffiness had increased and redness subsided, and a few days later I was experiencing peeling and flakiness. These results are also very normal and part of the process.”
Who would you recommend this treatment for?
“Meso-gliding has many benefits – stimulation collagen, which is brilliant for fine lines, pigmentation and general ageing concerns. This treatment is also ideal for acne suffers, especially if they have scarring. Rita explained they receive a lot of customers using this treatment for acne scarring.”

I would try this for my pigmentation and fine lines. Sounds similar to the dermapen treatment. I only wishbthese treatments were more affordable. I think I series of treatmensts would give the best results which would add up quickly.

My pigmentation is not that severe but it's enough to make me concerned. Several $300+ treatments? I'm not sure about that. Needles? Not sure about that either. However the results are dramatic and speak volumes.

So it's basically skin needling but they're injecting serum.. interesting! As per my BH forum post (https://www.beautyheaven.com.au/forums/skincare/skin-needling-my-experience?page=99999) I'm not sure I would do the treatment again but apparently repeated treatments work best

I don't think this is for me. I think I'll just have to leave the reduction of fine lines to creams and potions.

This doesn’t appeal to me! Sounds like a lot of effort and some discomfort for little gain.
