Estée Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher is a pore refining serum that really does work and help with pores. You apply it after cleansing and toning, and apply it before moisturising. It is a very light and refining serum, and absorbs quickly. It is so light, not at all oily, smells lovely and is suitable for use twice a day. This serum if used regularly will provide you with smaller pores, smoother and more softer skin, that is even toned. Your makeup will look more refined and natural.

My mum bought me this and ever since I started using it, I've fallen in love! I can see the difference from when I started to now. Does the job well and can be easily applied to the face. I apply it on my cheeks, nose, chin and forehead after I have cleansed my face at night. Really anywhere where you don't want your pores to grow. I have not gotten a lot of pimples because of it which has helped so much. I recommend this to anyone who wouldn't mind spending a bit on the product but it does do the job well so well done Estee Lauder :)

I received a sample of this when i purchased some products at Estee Lauder and i found that it was the perfect moisturiser for me and acted like a primer.
I personally don't have large pores so the intentional use of the product wasn't directed for my skin. However, i put this on prior to my makeup just as a moisturiser and left my skin smooth, matte and filled in my small pores so i didn't bother with the primer. This product actually concealed my major concern which is redness coming through my foundation 6 hours later from applying. I love this product so much and a little goes a long way however i wouldn't consider repurchasing it until the price has dropped down as i find $60 would be a somewhat more reasonable price rather than $120+

This might just be my favourite of the Estee Lauder serums (and I've tried them all). It just feels so lovely on the skin. It has a velvety feel and smoothes on a bit like a primer. It sinks in fast to leave my skin super silky with a subtle powdery yet hydrating finish. This is defintely the most moisturising of all the serums with a nice citrus scent. I'm not sure that it makes a difference to my pores per se but it does create a nice surface for makeup and makes it look more flawelss. Overall, this is a product that really does wonders for my dry skin and I would certainly purchase this in the future.

the texture is really nice and smooths out the surface of the skin but did not notice any pore minimising ! doesn't do what it's meant to but great as a primer and/or moisturiser

I have a small 7ml bottle of this and have been using it for about a week. It does leave the skin more matte, smooth and leaves a silky velvety finish. My pores aren't that big so after application, my face does look quite smooth and makes foundation application afterwards look flawless. However there are other similar products out there which achieve the same results so I probably wouldn't buy this given it is quite expensive. I think this would be suitable for most skin types including oily/combination.

I have large pores and oily skin and i am pretty much looking for a miracle product. Estee Lauder advertised this as a miracle product and i was a little disappointed with the results.

I went to the Estee Lauder counter and was taken in by the pretty blue packaging and the rave reviews so i splurged and purchased the limited edition 75ml bottle for $175. Once home i was eager to try so i washed my face with my Dermalogica cream cleanser and as per the instructions from the beauty counter i smoothed on just under a full pump of the product all over my face. It smelt heavenly, like citrus and flowers and felt quite nice too. Very smooth and not too greasy like some serums. I followed with my Dermalogica moisture boost and went without makeup for the rest of the day.

I repeated the same steps every day morning and night, and for during the day when i went out i only used a little under eye concealer and my Bare minerals powder. My skin looked smooth but my pores were still quite noticeable in natural light. By mid way through the day i had large oil patches on my cheeks (which never normally get oily) and my nose looked wet. I persisted for three weeks due to the fact i had spent so much money on the product, but alas my skin got oilier and i started to see large blackheads appear on my nose and chin with a few minor breakouts on my cheeks.

Overall i think maybe this product is best for older/dryer skin. I am 27 with oily skin and this really did nothing more than what a good primer could do for a quarter of the price. On the upside i expressed my concerns to Estee Lauder and they allowed me to return the product and exchange for another product of equal value.

I exchanged for Idealist Dual Action Refinishing Treatment and the Perfectionist Targeted Deep Wrinkle Filler. Look out for my other reviews on these products in the next few weeks!
