Fun face masks
The fun face mask trend is showing zero signs of slowing down. From the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask (which has a 5,000 person waitlist!), to Dr. Brandt Skincare's #trending MAGNETIGHT Age-Defier™ face mask ($99.56 approx, sephora.com), the beauty world is mask-obsessed. The St Tropez Self-Tanning Face Mask ($16, asos.com/au) is also causing quite a stir overseas, but if you need a new mask, now, Garnier’s Hydra Bomb tissue masks are my personal pick – not only are they budget-friendly, they’re also made from an ultralight tissue fabric, so they don’t slide down your face! #Winning.
Stock up on face masks: Garnier Hydra Bomb Ultra Hydrating Soothing Tissue Mask, St Tropez Self-Tan Express Face Sheet Mask ($16, asos.com/au)

#lashgame
Forget brow game – this month it’s all about lash game. To instantly update your makeup look, try replicating the fat, spikey lashes that reigned on the runway at Sydney Fashion Week. Ombre lashes are also causing a stir Instagram, and are surprisingly easy to create with a coloured mascara. Prefer a more low key look? Naked lashes (with no mascara at all) are also #trending. Watch the video above for my tips for how to rock naked lashes, and still look polished.

The sci-fi bob
There’s no doubt about it: The futuristic sci-fi bob is the hairstyle to watch for winter. Sleek, modern and very shiny, it’s been a hit with celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Bella Hadid – and it’s also surprisingly versatile, with some adding a slight wave or flick to it, for a more feminine take. Thinking of trying this new ‘do? Ask your hairdresser to keep your bob blunt and long-ish, and watch the video above for tips for styling it.

Highlight meets lip gloss
If you’re obsessed with highlight and strobing products, you’ll love the latest lip gloss look, which features highlight-inspired, frosty pastel hues and an ultra-shimmery finish. Personally, I feel like I already have enough highlight on my cheekbones, but if you’re game enough to experiment with it, look to Becca Cosmetics Liquid Crystal Glow Gloss ($29.20 approx, sephora.com) and Huda Beauty’s Lip Strobe collection (coming to hudabeauty.com in June) for inspiration. Would you wear this bold lip look? Let me know in the comments section below!

Agree the highlight lip gloss is very interesting. I suppose it ties in with the whole hologram/unicorn make up trend.

I've been going back and forth on whether to buy a similar lip product made by the indie makeup brand Fyrinnae for about a year - it certainly wouldn't be a really light frosty shade, as they make me look dead, and not in a "vampire chic" way either... I've been waiting for the day that overdone brows would cease to be a "thing", and it'll be a chilly day in hell when I voluntarily submit to having my hair cut into a bob again - whether it be "space age" or otherwise! I like the dramatic lashes and may team some with the shiny laquer-look lipstick I've been wearing for the past several weeks :-)

Just used cream highlighter on my lips (and eyes), it is natural based so safe to use on those areas! And I thought that I will never finish it, but now...haha
Love a great highlight all over =D

Thick spikey lashes and brightly coloured lashes I will have to pass on. The masks look nice but I will have to pass on the long bob and the highlight coloured lip gloss.

Such fun trends. The bob is lovely. I’m quite fond of the no mascara look. Who knew my laziest days were ‘on trend’.
