Katy Perry's Super Bowl tattoo

Katy Perry nailed her beauty look at the Super Bowl, and she didn’t stop there, celebrating her awesome performance with a sassy new tattoo.
Showing off the ink on Instagram, the pop singer declared, “I thought it would be appropriate to draw blood tonight”. Ahh, okay then, Katy.
Located on her inner finger, it reads ‘XLIX’ (or 49, representing the 49th sporting event) in Roman numerals:

This is the singer’s sixth tattoo – and according to this controversial UK survey, she’s still young enough to pull them off (she’s 30 years old).
Either way, compared to her other five tats, this one’s actually pretty tame. Just look at the smiling strawberry on her ankle…
As a side note, we couldn’t help but notice Katy’s fuzzy knuckles in the snap! It’s nice to know that despite being tended to by teams of beauty experts, even celebs as well-groomed as Miss Perry have hair in funny places.
Would you get a tattoo to celebrate a milestone?

I wonder if she'll wake up one morning, when she's a little older and wish she hadn't plonked that bright red strawberry permanently onto her beautiful skin ; /

I'm not a huge fan of tattoos myself but I guess it's a way of celebrating a milestone for those who love tattoos. It's better then getting one that is meaningless

I'd love to get one but I want a fire tatt on my wrist going up to my palm but I don't think I can handle the pain so it may just be a dream. I have tiny hairs on my knuckles too and it didn't occur to me that it's weird, funny that others think so!

I don't understand how performing at the super bowl is somehow worthy of permanent ink. I can see a football player getting inked as they work hard all season to qualify to be in the super bowl. But a performer? Weird...

The strawberry looks like a tatt you'd get from those chewing gum tattoo lollies!

I've had a tattoo to celebrate an event when in my 20s (about 20 years ago) and don't regret it as I had it for me in a place that is out of sight so it still looks fresh and new and is still just for me!
