Acne Skin Treatments That Cleared My Acne And Totally Changed My Skin

Recently, I decided to start acne skin treatments to see if anything would help give me the glowing skin I’d always wanted. Since I hit my teens, I’ve found myself locked in a constant, at times turbulent, battle with acne. For reasons beyond me, the pimples from my youth never fully disappeared no matter how many people told me they would. In fact, at times they grew worse and more prevalent!

Last year, after making some changes to my birth control, my skin went from sorta pimple-y to full-on, cystic-style hormonal acne, all over my neck and along my jawline. I’d never seen anything like it on my skin before and despite making changes to help get rid of it, the acne around my chin was stubborn and wouldn’t clear.

My first choice to consult about my acne was The Real Housewives of Sydney star and all-round legend, Matty Samaei. It looks really good, is this a picosecond laser treatment or not? I know there are many ways to remove acne, but I don’t know which one is more suitable for my skin. I have tried a fruit acid peel before. The effect is obvious at first, but then I started to get acne again , So I hope to find a way to completely remove acne. The laser acne treatment I saw in this blog seems to be similar to what you said. blog , I hope to try it but still have a little scare.

Hi Kate, it's been almost a year since this video and I'm wondering if you have had to have follow up treatment and, if so, how often? Was any one of the treatments more effective than the others? TIA

Thankfully I never had acne. Unfortunately my son had terrible acne but now has beautifully clear skin after a course of Roaccutane. He didn't suffer any side effects and he didn't need any follow up treatments.

What an amazing result! I only got acne when I went off the pill after being on it for over 10 years, but after a couple of years being off the pill my hormones evened out and my skin cleared up again, luckily. It's a stressful thing to deal woth so I'm so happy you found something that's working!! xx

I didn't really suffer from acne when I was a teen but it was when I got older that my acne became horrible. Turns out mine was due to a hormone imbalance so once I figured that out my acne went away really quickly!

Yes a familiar issue for me. I had acne as an adolescent, then was lucky to have my skin clear up in my early to mid twenties, and then developed adult acne which while having cleared up has left me with same acne scarring.

No acne here just super dry skin. A great result for you. You may need to keep up some treatments to keep your skin good and clear

Awesomely encouraging video for those struggling with acne issue. I wish that all that was around when I was in my twenties. Suffer I did! I used a vitamin C potion from a skin specialist to help with acne scarring after being on Roacctane a couple of times. Finally my skin came good after that.
