The male fragrance guide

If there’s one thing us women love about a man, other than his ability to fix things (or at least pretend he’s fixing it), it’s his smell. And I’m not talking about his stinky, just played a quick game of footy with the lad’s stench; I’m talking about his manly scented spritz. There’s something just sexy about a man with a signature scent, and he doesn’t have to walk around in an Armani suit to pull it off either. There are plenty of fragrances to suit every man at any age, so if you thought perfumes were ‘girl’s only’ territory, prepare to be proven wrong.
Fragrance for men in their 20’s
When it comes to choosing a fragrance, the nose always knows best, so make sure to always smell before you purchase. Men in their 20’s should go for a light, crisp scent that won’t smell like he’s doused himself in his dad’s after shave. When making the transition from boy to man, crisp citrus scents are a winner.

2. Joop jump!
3. Homme by David Beckham
Fragrance for men in their 30’s
Men in their 30’s can go a tad more bold and sophisticated with their scents. Something with woody top notes will give that extra sense of manliness, while middle notes of citrus will still keep it fresh and fun.
1. Zegna Forte
2. 9IX Rocawear
3. Calvin Klein Obsession For Men
Fragrance for men in their 40’s
A gentleman in his 40’s deserves nothing less than a classic scent. Something woody, with a hint of musk and spice will represent both masculinity and maturity perfectly. As men get older their skin tends to be dryer therefore a fragrance is likely to disappear more quickly. For men in their 40’s then, a stronger scent will last longer and is the best option.

2. HUGO BOSS Boss Bottled (stockist: www.themensshop.com.au)

Any bloke can smell good as long as he is not overpowering himself with it & other's around him. Some of the men's I don't mind but their are other's I just don't like.

My boyfriend wears Polo Blue for casual outings and Issey Miyake (silver) for work and formal occasions. Issey Miyake is definitely a head turner and suits guys ages 20+ in my opinion!

I recently got one of the david beckam ones for dad, but found that although it's initially strong it's lasting power isn't too good

Not sure if it's just because I love Becks, but any guy who wears a David Beckham fragrance becomes 10x more attractive to me.
