The easy zombie makeup tutorial you need for Halloween

Carved pumpkins and horror films at the ready – Halloween is nearly upon us! If you’re considering pulling out your old set of cat ears and scribbling on some whiskers with black eyeliner this year, forget about it. Follow this easy step-by-step guide on how to create a seriously scary zombie make-up look.
Trust us, you’ll be sure to scare the pants off all of your friends...
What you’ll need:
- Red blush and lip gloss
- Brown and black eyeshadow
- PVA glue
- Tissues
-
Apply a pale foundation over your entire face and neck. Make sure you choose a shade that’s lighter than your normal skin tone.
bh tip: Scrunch your lips when applying foundation over your mouth to give a cracked effect.
-
Apply red blush under your eyes and in the creases around your nostrils.
-
Apply black and brown eyeshadow to your eyelids, blending the colour down towards the red under your eyes.
-
Apply black eyeshadow to the contours of your cheeks, nose and the front of your neck.
-
Apply brown and black eyeshadow to the top of your forehead around your hairline.
-
Using a blending brush, blend the eyeshadow out to create a bruised effect. Be sure to blend out the contour lines as well.
-
Touch up your base with the pale foundation, paying attention to the centre of the forehead and the apples of your cheeks.
-
Peel apart a tissue and use one layer to rip it into three smaller pieces. The pieces should be the size of the wound.
-
Using a non-toxic PVA glue, paint a layer of glue on to the area where you want to create a wound and stick down a piece of tissue. Glue three to four pieces of tissue on top of the same area.
-
When the glue is half-dry, use tweezers to split the tissue layers in a straight line down the centre. Separate the sides slightly so you can see the skin underneath.
-
Once the glue is completely dry, cover the tissue with foundation, making sure you blend it around the edges of the wound.
-
Apply black eyeshadow on the exposed skin inside the wound.
-
Recreate the bruised effect around the edges of the tissue.
-
Using red gloss as blood, dab it with a stippling brush around the edges of the wound and bruises. Apply a thick layer of the gloss inside the wound.
-
Add a light layer of black eyeshadow to the inside of your lips.
To up the gruesome factor, play around with the elements of the look by adding more blood, wounds and bruising, depending on how creepy you want to get. You can even add some novelty contact lenses from a party store to really top the look off!
Get the look:
Red blush: M.A.C Powder Blush in Frankly Scarlet
Brown and black eyeshadows: blinc Shadow Fusion Eye Shadow Palette (we used Obsidian and Terra shades)
Red gloss: Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Potion in Lethal Red

So just found out she is wearing contact lenses but in this case it's novelty contact lenses & their are all different kinds to suit any of your outfits which is pretty cool but their are also risks to wearing these thing's such as blindness, Contamination, Damage to eye's if they are not fitted properly to the correct eye size that you are, I like them but I wouldn't wear them. The idea of putting these thing's in my eye's & then getting them out I wouldn't want to damage or risk of damaged to my beautiful eye's. So ladies be careful.

I love Halloween. In the US if you dont want to take part and have kids knock on your door then you have your outside lights off. Kids know only to go to homes with the outside lights on or signs saying you are welcome. I always have some decorations out so the kids know they are welcome her. Its a bit of fun for the kids and is only one night a year. I always have goodie bags for them. I dont get dressed up as ive learnt that sometimes it makes it too scary for the really little kids. Thats my excuse anyway :D

So whilst this may be an American cultural ideal, I will freely admit when I was in Boston I simply had to go to Salem. I just had to. I really needed to get my witchy-woo-woo on. It wasn't anywhere near October (it was April), but I sat in a renovated church with a witch trial history lesson, hit the gallery, was struck with a little snow, went through graveyards, walked the cobblestones... sigh. Salem.
