All Soft Heavy Cream Reviews

Before starting this review, I have a confession to make. I purchased this hair cream as a treat to my hair a few years ago (about 4 years ago) and it has been sitting in my cupboard, unused, since then. The product I own was packaged in a tub, but I have noticed on the website it is now packaged in a tube, so it may have been reformulated from the cream I own.

So why have I left it in the cupboard? Mainly, because I am lazy in my personal care and after I read the instructions I simply couldn't be bothered. The part that discouraged me was "leave in for 5 minutes". I'm much more comfortable with "apply and rinse" products. I decided it was time to give this one a go.

The cream comes in a sturdy plastic tub in a generous 250 ml size. I usually wash and condition my hair before I soap my body, so for me taking the lid off was easy, but for anyone with soapy hands it would be a challenge. I assume that's why Redken repackaged it.

The cream itself has a thick, slightly gel-like consistency with a white, almost shimmery appearance. It's actually quite appealing. To my nose, the scent is mild and slightly fruity, but I didn't notice it on my hair after I washed out the cream.

I applied it under the shower after shampooing my hair, then brushed it through my hair to remove the knots and to ensure it was evenly distributed. Because my hair is so difficult to tame, I applied it generously. I left it on for exactly 5 minutes while finishing my shower. As I said, I'm lazy. There were no plastic bags over my hair, no towels, and no fuss. I rinsed it out and let it air dry. Although I usually put a leave-in conditioner in my hair at the end, I omitted this step to test the mask.

So what was the result. I had shiny, well-tamed hair with no fuzz. It felt soft and thick when I ran my hands through it, a bit like a sheep's wool with lots of lanolin. But, unfortunately, the knots remained, right through to the next wash.

I will continue to use this product as a "wash out" conditioner as my hair looks and feels good from it, but for the long term I do need a conditioner that helps with the knots as well. I also suspect that I'm not getting the full benefit of the cream unless I leave it in my hair longer, which I just don't have the patience to do.

I think this is a great hair cream for those beauties who like to pamper and spoil their hair and who don't mind spending the time to do so. I, myself, would not repurchase it as it is not suitable for my lifestyle.

Love this product and all products from this brand. Worth every penny, leaves your hair so soft silky and healthy. Especially after a salon visit it brings your hair back to life instantly. Would recommended this product 1000 times over!!! It has a beautiful smell and the rub lasted me months. If your hair is dull and is in need of a drink definitely try this product, once you do you won’t try anything else!

I love redken products, it is always of great quality. This product is a fantastic condition and is definitely one of my staple. I usually leave it in for about 20 mins (instructions says 5-15 minutes). Sometimes I also use a heat cap. My hair comes out very soft and I can brush it easily, minimising any breakages! I colour my hair every 6-7 weeks so I use this inbetween for gloss. My hair is soft and the shine is amazing :)

So iv always been abit sceptical of expensive hair products as I always thought they all must do kinda the same thing.
After neglecting the heck out of my hair and it being to thin to hold oils I gave this a go..firstly this smell is incredible and with its thickness I could tell I was getting a good quality nourishment.. I plastered this on and left a good ten minutes while shaving..
Once my hair dried it was so light and soft. Almost too soft but also felt a lot stronger.

After two months of use one a week I could notice less hair fall due to breakage and my weak brittle hair is almost in the past

This mask is great for my dry, thick, long, bleached, curly hair. When it comes to any hair mask I ignore the time indicated on the tub. With this hair mask I like to shampoo my hair and apply this. I then hop out of the shower, wrap a plastic bag then a towel around my head, and leave it on there for at least an hour, (some of my masks I leave on overnight). During that hour I do anything else that I needed to do around the house normally cook dinner or cleaning. Once I am finished what I am doing and it has been at least an hour I jump back in the shower and rinse it out. In using a hair mask this way I have found that I am left with a much better result and the product really sinks into each individual strand of hair. Because of how thick and dry my hair is this method does not weigh it down at all or leave it greasy, this method may not be best for people with fine or short hair. I love treating my hair to this once a fortnight and can really see a difference in my hair texture and smoothness after each use. I love it!

I have rediscovered Redken products a little while ago and i love this mask. It makes my hair shiny and smooth and it lasts a while too!

This is definately one of my favourite hair masks ever! I would slather it on my damaged, dry, bleached hair, comb through, pin it up for 5-15 mins and by the time I'm ready to rinse it out my hair feels smoother! I have very fine hair that gets weighed down easily and I would use this almost every single time I washed my hair and it didn't make it greasy or weighed down. Smells delicious too!

I have dry and damaged hair because i die my hair regularly. My mum came home with it a couple of days ago so i used it and the next morning i woke up with amazing, healthy and refreshed hair.
