16 things only girls with long hair understand

Rapunzel with her ridiculously long strands must have run into a lot of hairy issues. While it may have kept her warm on cool winter nights, there’s no doubting it was an absolute nightmare to maintain. And just like Rapunzel, those of you who love your long hair will also know it can get you into all sorts of trouble.

Here are 16 #firstworldproblems of girls with long hair. The struggle is real.
Finding your hair EVERYWHERE
On your pillows, on the floor, in the car, down the drain, on your clothes, on your boyfriend’s clothes and even in your food. It’s actually a miracle you’re not bald!
Shutting your hair in the car door. Every. Damn. Day.
Or car window, they’re both equally as painful.
The AGONY of hair untangling
Only to have it knot and tangle all over again in five minutes. Why do we even bother?
Forever feeling phantom bugs or creepy crawlies on your skin
Nope, just your long hair playing silly tricks on you again!
The fear of going up in flames
Cooking with your hair out? Don't even think about it.
Trying to convince yourself the hair tie you wear on your wrist day in, day out looks chic, totally passable as a bracelet, and not at all gross and manky
No, you’re totally right, because a stretched out piece of elastic with stray hairs stuck to it isn’t disgusting at all.
The eternal reminder on your wrist that you’ll never be without said hair tie
And to be honest, you’d be totally screwed without it.
Finally, after months of grim determination and hard work, getting your hair tie to wrap around your pony three times
Because two is never enough.
...Only to have it snap almost immediately
So you have to start the process all. Over. Again.
The sticky situation of lipgloss
Unless you really love the feeling of hair in your mouth, then pucker up.
You spend your entire pay on restocking your shampoo and conditioner supply
Long locks cost a lot to stay flawless.... or do they?

Waiting about a month for your hair to dry
Made about 1000 times worse in winter thanks to the feeling of wet, cold hair on your back.
Getting your hair caught in everything. EVERYTHING
Zippers, buttons, bag straps, pens, seat belts, jewellery. Anything it can get stuck in, under or around, it will.
Leaving a trace of bobby pins wherever you go
Started out with hundreds, now down to five.
Brushing your hair is a workout
The arms, they ache so baaad.

Styling takes forever
Planning on curling your locks? Cute! Better set aside at least three hours for that one.

Haha, I have long hair and I can relate to most of these. A problem I have at the moment is my puppy keeps trying to grab my hair.

I have long hair and I find almost all of these relatable! Lost count of the times I've shut the car door on my hair... sigh.

Yes!! Up until recently, I had waist-long hair and could relate to all of these. I needed to be careful when I went to the bathroom as well - if I didn't flick it back, I'd run the risk of accidentally peeing on it. Needless to say I'm happy with my shorter hair now!

I had long hair. Then got nits hooray for having school aged children. 6 months later one of my children and I aren't nit free. Even though I have biught every treatment possible. Spent hours comibing mine and his hair with shampoo. Washed EVERYTHING multiple times in hot water. The little creatures only need one to lay eggs. Needless to say long hair went.

I ripped my hair so many times, it gets caught in everything! Luckily I don't epilate any more. Use to get it caught in that thing too, not good

I have mega long hair down to my butt so I have experienced all of the above. My hair is very long but very fine so it tangles super easily but dries fairly quickly.

My hair is medium length and it is such a pain to wash as it takes forever to dry.

I can definitely relate to most of these. Also would add that in summer hair must be worn up all the time, or it's like I'm wearing a thick jacket over my neck and shoulders

Ha ha - yep! Just yesterday I was cleaning out the skimmer basket of the pool and it was 50% hair 50% leaves. All my girls have long hair and so do I so it's making sense.
