The Ordinary. The brand we need to talk about!
The Ordinary. The brand we need to talk about!
Theres a new brand called the ordinary. By the same company -Abnormal beauty company. (hyaliminde )
So this range is super cheap - less that $12 for vitamin c, vitamin b and retinol serums. It looks amazing and will be coming to Australia next year.
The products like i said look brilliant and are soooo affordable. Check it out here.

Gothamista is one of the most knowledgeable YouTubers out there. I may try using the Niacinamide and Snail Mucin combo.
Agree, she certainly is. Other "beauty" people are just about makeup (which I really do not need at all) , hard to find someone with good skincare knowledge, routine, tips etc...
I did not try Ordinary products yet, but following all of you here, as I have so much of stock to go trough before buying stuff you guys find is worth buying. I do have NIOD and Hylamide in my stash, but only managed to test one product so far! One face, so much stuff, and recent trial made me pause again.
Now that the Ordinary is expanding I went to check out what is new with NIOD. As I really need now something for my eye area (helooooooo fine lines! [insert angry face]), and what better time to start than when one turns 40!
So NIOD had now eye stuff and lip stuff. Darn, these are pricey!!! A hyper-concentrated bio-serum for the eye contour, FECC and Lip Bio-Lipid Concetrate. Hm....waiting for black friday sales lol...till then slathering anything I have in my stash from face skincare that is safe for the eye area =/
I'd be interested in the new NIOD lip and eye products, but like you Yohanna I don't want to spend so much, especially when I have enough skincare waiting to be used.
Wow apparently the wait list for the foundation is 25,000 so far! My estimated shipping time is mid April according to VH, can't wait!
Say what!! wowza! Can not wait to see your thoughts on how good it works when you get your hands on it!
did not even know they were releasing a foundation, gotta check this out once its in stores
Wow, a 25,000 wait list? I guess the buzz is huge around The Ordinary at the moment.
One of my fave YTers, Stephanie Nicole now has a review on almost all of The Ordinary products. She's very honest and quite thorough. At the end of the video she recommends her favourite products from the line.

Thanks for posting indie. I'll check out this video.
I'm so glad i found this post.It has been so helpful reading all the thoughts & reviews.Yohanna- the Gothamista videos were excellent, thank you for the link,i have subscribed to her channel. I was on the fence whether to try these or not but i will definitely give them a go now :)
I need to get that foundation when it comes out! It sounds so nice and affordable!!
Anyone excited about this? Just found out form people in BeautyNews FB group
Ooh, very exciting! I hope they won't be too pricy
Yes, hope so too! But we can always hunt those 40% off skincare sales! Actually I will...but then, knowing the popularity of the brand and the skincare sale, my local Priceline will be empty! I got Hylamide stuff then, got last of vit c and one other serum, second last SubQ, rest of the range was all gone!
This blogger explains so well acids and other fave skincare ingredients of ours! What % mean (higher not always better, it is all about Ph of the formula), Ph at what should some of acids be to be effective to our skin and not damaging...etc
Then she reviews some of the Ordinary products
http://www.labmuffin.com/
Labmuffin is awesome! I follow her on Insta. She really explains everything so well and I learn so much from her posts.
Yes she is amazing! Love her cheeky name too ^^
And I just stumbled across her first vid and then her blog just today! So great she will do YT channel from now on
I didn't know that she was starting a YT channel! That's awesome, I love Lab Muffin, too
I've had some pop ups through my emails, and yes, AdoreBeauty stock the lot, and they have free shipping. As soon as I run out of my usual suspects, I'm going to give this range a try.
I just had a gander and it's not the full range but it's most of them so good enough! Thanks for the tip off!
Thanks for sharing Karenlol, it's nice to have an option with free shipping
I received my AHA 30% & BHA 2% 10 minute peel mask today! Super excited, have babied my skin back to normal now after the strange Endota Spa mask problem so I am all ready to try it tonight or tomorrow. Will report back - it's a lovely raspberry red colour - like the Obagi Blue mask, so you can see where you have put it to make sure it's even. Still waiting on shipping confirmation on the 2 x foundations I pre-ordered, they should be shipped this week going by the newsletters.
It is finally in stores in Myers! (Haven't seen it at Priceline yet) However, a lot of websites sell them, including adorebeauty. The price is really affordable. Although I have heard reviews that the vitamin C is really gritty and hard to work with, possibly because of the suspension form. But the rest of the range seems to be working rather well as a basic, no-frills skincare ingredients. They can also be used for customisation to the skin by using a few serums together, depending on what you are looking for. (Be sure to check out if the ingredients actually react to cancel out each other before using) I think the idea behind the brand is great and the quality is lovely for the price. It won't be a magical elixir for all, but it is well worth the price.
Ooo - has anyone seen them in the Adelaide Rundle Mall Myers yet?
