Great addition to skincare routine
I highly enjoyed being able to add this to my daily skincare routine, one extra step, but worth it!
After the first use, my skin felt hydrated.
Avoid for oily skin great for dry skin
My skin feels well moisturised after a dry day, but can feel a little sticky if it is been too humid or if I am a bit oily that day.

Have you tried the Neutrogena Rapid Clear Fight & Fade gel? It's supposed to help with the leftover redness. I've used it before with some success and it's got heaps of reviews here on BH too.

I tried Bio-oil on scars without much success but last year I was involved in a 12 week product trial for a scar fading gel which has just come on the market as Hiruscar. http://hiruscar.com.au/
I had to apply the gel 3 times a day for the 12 weeks and I found that it really did help with my acne scars. Whilst not totally gone they are now coverable with just foundation, previous I was having to use concealer or anti-redness primer on them. Unlike Bio-oil it's not oily, you can rub the gel in and then put makeup pretty much straight over the top.
i have tried that product... it worked for a while but now i dont know if my skin has gotten use to it... just doesnt seem to work for me anymore...
That's been my experience with it too, and looking at some of the reviews online it's a pretty common issue. If there's been a while since you last used it, maybe give it another shot? I find that if I switch over to another product for a few months then come back to it, it starts working again.
Rosehip oil and bio oil worked wonders for me!
Apparently all scar removal products work best on scars less than 6 months old.
I recommend Paula's Choice exfoliants.
I would strongly recommend you try a new paramedical brand called derma-i. They're new to Australia but I got mine whilst I was in the US. Fantastic, fantastic product range particularly for treating acne. They have a soothing cream which eliminated my skin irritation and redness. Soooo good!
I have to agree- add a serum to your skincare. Some of the high end brands have whitening properties that work to fade scarring. I'm interested in trying a few of these myself, if anyone has tried them out.
I scar very easily (not just on my face!) and I find rose hip oil has works pretty well to nourish and heal. I'm trying a new one called Rose Hip Vital and I'm pretty happy with it! It's pushed Trilogy off my makeup shelf. I got it from Chemist Warehouse on a whim, as its organic, cold pressed, and just a little better in price.
This week, as crazy as it sounds, I'm trying a nightly face mask of raw honey and lemon juice. So far, it tastes delicious. And It might just be working!
Have you tried b.liv glow and shine exfoliating mask. It's very good. Last time, i do have serious scar but after using it. The scar reduces. Maybe you can have a try.
Estée Lauder advanced night repair has worked wonders on my acne scars but I know it's not in everyone's price range. I don't enjoy handing over my money but it really works for my skin. I'm only 23 so don't really require it for wrinkles just yet but I'm very happy with how it has worked on my scars.
If anyone has any cheaper solutions I'm happy to try them too :) I found rosehip oil to help a little too but Bio oil didn't do anything for mine.
How were your acne scars? Were they like pitted ones and uneven skin surface or just dark spots?
I really like the sound of that rosehip vital!! My mum is always going on about cold pressed stuff! I am going to get it!!
Yes, there are so many products which are available in the market. Even I also faced that problem and my aunty suggested me to use “new-gel” cream and it helped me to reduce those marks and I purchased it in online and I had forgotten from where I have got it. Once I will check and let you know in a few days.
Good Luck!!!
Ever since I started using the Nivea Visage Pure n Natural day cream as my moisturiser, my skin has really improved. I've got those awful 'pitted" scars mostly that are still red, and I'm finding the argan oil and the aloe vera in the cream are really helping to "fill them out", if you like. It seems like my skin is plumping up again in those areas, so it's making me feel better and my makeup is actually covering them much, much easier now. Give it a go! It's cheaper than something like Estee Lauder!
Rosehip oil works really well at lightening scars.
Apply honey, ice or lemon on the scars, apply essential oils, also you need to have healthy and right food. http://alturl.com/c96cw
I've just purchased the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair for acne scars too - fingers crossed!!
Estée Lauder daywear is amazing for this! Really helped the appearance of my skin and it has nearly completely stopped any breakouts! I use it directly on pimples and it makes them die fast haha . .. I do only buy it at gift with purchase time !
I use Hirusacr's gel - it's been great for me, as I tried Bio Oil but simply ended up making my oily, acne prone skin worse. Here's the web link :) http://www.hiruscar.com.au
It's already been said but rosehip oil does wonders
I used to have the same problem but now I have no scars on my face but just a few pores which are getting smaller every day due to my homemade remedies. The first one is the egg white mask.Just separate the egg white from the yolk . Beat the white with a fork and apply on the entire face, leave it on for 10 minutes, rinse it off with warm water followed by cold water to close the pores. Keep left over egg white in a sealed container in the fridge and use it within 3 days. You will see a big difference to your face. The scars will get lighter, pores will get smaller, skin will become tighter, clearer and smoother. It is safe to use every day as well. You can also make a paste using 2 tablespoon of chick pea flour, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of powdered milk, 1 teaspoon of olive oil and enough milk to make a smooth paste. Put it in a sealed container and use it within a week. Apply to a clean face, let it dry for 15 minutes and rinse it off with warm water and then cold water to close the pores. You will see amazing results as natural product are the best especially when it does wonders to our skin.
