How to make heels feel more comfortable?
Hi guys!
So I have a pair of lovely nude heels that my partner got me for christmas and I've only worn them once and the first time I wore it my feet felt fine but just yesterday I wore it to his graduation and my feet were in pain and it wasn't even an hour and I ended up with a blister on my pinky toe and my a minor tear on the back and I've put both ointment and band aid on it just to heal it as I do not want to pop the blisters and let them go on it's own but what are some tips and tricks I can do at home to make them feel more comfortable? I don't want to throw away these heels

Great kit for beginners
I have used the original proactiv products in the past with great success but never gave the proactiv+ products much thought because they had tried to phase out benzoyl peroxide and replaced it wit

Scholl have some good products: http://www.scholl.com.au/ Go to the website and go to Foot Care Products & Advice
I hate new shoes! Scholl & Footcare both offer great products & they're both listed on bh, so you can read reviews. There are clear gel spots you can stick inside your shoes on sore spots, or you can wear a preventative Band-Aid on known sore spots when you're going to wear the shoes.
I like to break in new shoes by wearing around the house for a few minutes at a time. Even while watching TV - just make a point of "foot fidgeting." If you can wear thick socks while you're doing it, they'll stretch even more.
I don't wear nude colours, so I don't know how colourfast they are. If you spray with a water bottle or Isocol alcohol before wearing, you might stretch them a little, but you risk discolouration.
I love new shoes but I hate breaking them in. I'll warm the insides with a blowdryer and wear them around the house with thick socks to soften and stretch them out a little. I've heard applying deodorant (the waxy stick kind) to the back of the shoes and under straps can help with chaffing and blisters.
I use Scholl's extreme heel pads to make them more comfy, especially when wearing them for a long day.
Scholl have some great things like the other ladies mentioned
When not wearing your new shoes I suggest you get a "stretcher" (wooden looking foot) that is the same size as your foot and if possible the same shape, my husband made one for me after taking a drawing around my foot. You the put this into your shoe when not wearing them and you will find that in no time they will fit perfectly . I know its a hassle but the LAST (stretcher) will last your lifetime. I have used mine on new shoes and new boots and now dont have much trouble at all. Best of luck.
Where can I get this from??
A bootmaker might sell you a pair or try ebay :)
If you are getting pain in the ball and/or arch of your feet, get some medical tape and tape your 3rd and 4th toes together. It needs to be firm but not tight.
There is a nerve running down the foot that divides and goes to the two toes. Taping them together reduces the nerve pain caused by movement around the fork in the nerve.
I've tried this and it definitely works.
I came across this by chance and it works so well!! I am often on my feet all day (teaching) and this has been such a life saver for me (and my feet)!!
Those gel pads and spots are absolutely wonderful. I couldn't wear heels for a year after my last baby (took that long for my feet to recover), but heels were so uncomfortable. I found the gel pads and spots at Big W (completely affordable) and can wear my heels now.
I still prefer barefoot around the house, and when I'm teaching, or playing in orchestra hahaha. But when I have to wear heels, they don't kill me.
Dad used to have shoe stretchers and they work very well. I've attached an image of them. You will find them with a Google search, but the following is a store that sells them:

Sometimes I used them with a shoe stretch spray which you can buy from shoe repairs stores. The sprays only work for leather shoes.
I found foot petals amazing they have ball of feet cushions and heal cushions and ones to go on inside of straps. I find they have the best cushion materials
Scholl gel products 100%
All the gels! Full base, front only, heel only, cushions, side pieces, back pieces. I've got flat and wide feet, so have the entire collection - from ebay. ;)
Scholl fan here too I always carry band aids and Dettol cream with me too. If you can find them scholl used to make little soft flats that you can carry in your handbag
