A morning with Miranda
As myself and a select group of Beauty Editors gathered at a beautiful Rose Bay home this morning for the launch of KORA Organics’ newest releases (and to see its amazing new packaging), I think we all felt like nervous teens about to meet our idols. The reason? Because Miranda Kerr herself was to be hosting the breakfast, and I for one couldn’t wait to meet her!
We were greeted by Miranda’s mum, Therese Kerr, who was lovely and welcoming to each of us. She had a proud grandma grin plastered over her face as she described how perfect baby Flynn was, and how much she enjoyed being a grandma to, “the most perfect baby in the world.”
When Miranda stepped out in a floor-length Colette Dinnigan maxi dress, I’m pretty sure some jaws dropped. She looked incredible. But despite being one of the hottest models of the moment, she was so down-to-earth and bubbly, and even complimented us on our own outfits (she said she loved my cape!), which made us feel like a bunch of girlfriends catching up.
After an entirely organic three-course breakfast, comprising of some of Miranda’s favourite dishes (pumpkin and sweet potato pancakes anyone?) she told us all about some brand new Kora products, including a Foot Balm, Rosehip Body Oil, and Blemish Gel. The way in which she spoke about each product and the ingredients sourced made it clear that Kora is not just a hobby, but rather a project that she’s deeply passionate about and thoroughly involved in. She even revealed to me that she uses the products on her son – seeing as Kora contains none of the nasties (and has just been officially stamped with the Eco Cert certification! Yay!), she’s more than happy to share them with hubby, Orlando, and baby, Flynn.
Another new element is the inclusion of an inspirational word, like ‘peace’ or ‘kindness’, on the back of each product. This was a special touch just from Miranda, and her way of helping to release some good vibrations into our day.
Stay tuned for some more health and wellbeing, and baby tips straight from Miranda and her mum, Therese!
Have you tried the Kora range? What did you think? And what would you most like to try?
