We put two sanitary pads to the test and the results may surprise you
We're so done with periods being taboo.
The menstrual cycle is a fact of life, and many of us bleed every month for a period (lol) of 2-7 days. So you bet we want to be using the best products for us.
And by best we not only mean in terms of absoberncy, but comfort (the slimmer the better please) and kind to the skin and earth too (less waste posthaste!).
Those who attended the beautyheaven Best In Beauty Marketplace would have already discovered Lovekins; an Australian wellness and skincare company with non-toxic, eco-friendly sanitary pads made with luxuriously soft Australian cotton .
Sounds great on paper, but we really wanted to put these pads through their paces to see if they could truly perform. Faced with a competitor, we took each sanitary pad through a series of tests, and the results may surprise you.
Watch the video above to see how they fared and if you need any more convincing, check out the Lovekins Trial Team reviews.
Did you find our pad test interesting? Have you tried Lovekins?
Have you tried any of the products mentioned above?

They look painful but I guess if it does the job.

I'd rather just use my moon cup these days - better for the environment and don't have to wear a bulky pad around. I am keen to check out some of the period undies too.

I don’t use them, but this will be useful for other women.

I have to say I really loved the Lovekin's pads and lines from a recent BH trial. But I am keen to try some period undies or re-useable pads. I would like to be less wasteful and more environmentally aware.

I used to use tampons by now use only pads. I'm so glad that sanitary products aren't taxed anymore.

I will never go back to using pads or tampons. They are so bad for the environment and our bodies. I now use ModiBodi and the period pants from Woolies and they are great!

These were nice and great that they’re eco friendly, non toxic but I choose U or Moxie for value and accessibility and to be honest I’m even okay with Aldi when I’m chilling at home and not fussed about the thinness.

Good video for those of us ladies who still have to use pads from time to time. I will keep an eye out for them the next time I need to purchase some goodies, hopefully with the tax taken off they are similar prices to Libra and U

It's good to see Lovekins using red liquid to mimic the colour of blood. Who came up with the silly idea of using blue liquid in the first place?

I'm so glad I'm in menopause (Hallelujah!), but I loved my menstrual cup when I discovered it.
