Wash-on sunscreen is officially a thing

Unless you’ve been living under a rock (or are new to the beauty game), you’ll be well aware that wearing SPF every day is the key to youthful, beautiful skin.
Even though many of us know this, we don’t always put it into practice. I think a lot of it comes down to laziness - as in, the thought of applying an extra layer of cream (in this case, sunscreen) is just too much.
But now, applying your daily SPF could be as simple as washing your face in the morning - literally.
Introducing The Dr Russo Sun Protective Skincare Collection, which includes the first FDA-approved facial cleanser, shower gel and hand soap.
SHUT. THE. FRONT. DOOR.
Best of all, the products offer high protection. They all contain SPF 30, so you’ll ready to hit the beach straight after your shower. Even though you wash the cleansers off, the active ingredients are formulated to remain on the skin to offer UV protection.
The collection has currently hit stores in the UK and while there's no word on when it will be arriving in AUS, we've got our fingers crossed for before summer!
Are you excited about this new beauty invention? What other products do you wish existed?

This sounds amazing! I wonder if it will leave a residue on the skin and more importantly, does it work and is it safe??

I prefer sunscreen lotion as I don't think this will do the same job as that.

It sounds wonderful but I'm wondering if it would be harder to tell if you've missed a spot and would you still have to wait 1/2 an hour before going in the sun ?
I would prefer a sunscreen spray booth because you just can't reach everywhere. Most of us don't use enough sunscreen per limb anyway so this way you would be smothered in it.

Wow, had no idea products like this exist. I'm wondering if it has an effectiveness timeframe ie if I shower at breakfast, would the sunscreen be effective mid-afternoon? I think I'd definitely feel safer still using sunblock as I currently do

Not sure about this. And I wonder how it will affect the environment.

Not convinced of this - so how does it eventually wash off? WiIl stick to the apply and reapply.

I'd only be interested in this if it was chemical-free.

Same here, the less chemicals in our lives the better.

Very interesting! I wonder how toxic they will be? For the environment too...

What I do love though is the non greasy aspect, I find sunscreen greasy and makes my skin oily etc

It really sounds to good to be true?
My question is how do you go about reapplying it? So if you are out? You can't shower

I'd like to see what the Cancer Council says about this product. Sunscreen is only worth it if you're getting the right coverage.

It seems like a great concept but I know that you need to apply a certain amount of sunscreen to get the protection you need therefore would using a wash on/off product give you enough protection?
Also I presume this is a product you would not want to use if you wash before going to bed therefore it is only for morning showers :)

Wonder what ingredients would actually be used to make it stick on??
