5 things all girls who shower at night know

Disclosure: I am a shower-at-night kind of girl. I’ve been a fan ever since I was little – and I doubt I’ll be changing my routine anytime soon. Of course, the occasional morning shower is inevitable, but the perks of getting all fresh and clean before bed are far superior. If like me, you’re a nighttime shower devotee, you’ll definitely be able to relate to at least one (if not all) of these…
#1. Your hair looks way better this way
On the rare occasion that you wash your hair in the morning, it always ends up looking frizzy and horrible – unless you break out the hairdryer, paddle brush, straightener and smoothing serum. But when you shower at night, all you need to do is pat your hair dry, apply an overnight treatment such as Charles Worthington Secrets Collection Moisture Seal Overnight Ultimate Hair Healer and let your pillow do the rest of the work. Kind of gross, I know, but you wake up with hair that’s oh-so-smooth and flyaway-free.
#2. The feeling of snuggling up in bed after is #amazing
Nothing feels as good as getting squeaky clean with your favourite body wash (bh loves Crabtree & Evelyn Tarocco Orange Eucalyptus & Sage Skin Invigorating Bath & Shower Gel), pulling on your PJs (bonus points if they’re fresh out of the dryer) and sinking into bed. You look forward to this moment all day, erry day. The only thing that’ll top it is when you have a whole new season of your favourite show waiting for you.
#3. That extra 15 minutes sleep in the morning is sooo good
How on earth do those ‘morning people’ find the motivation to wake up with enough time to shower? You struggle just to swig down a coffee and brush your teeth – but they’re all up in there with their loofah like its no big deal. Whatever, you’ll take that extra 15 minutes in bed any day. *Pulls down Eco Tools Bamboo Sleep Mask*
#4. It’s the best stress reliever
Whether you’re in the throes of the worst period ever or you’ve had a super stressful day at work, the shower is always waiting for you at the end of the day. It soothes your physical and emotional aches and pains, and is the perfect place to wind down and think about important things, like whether or not you want takeout, or what M.A.C Cosmetics Lipstick shade to wear tomorrow. The same applies for baths...
#5. Your linen goes the distance
You can’t imagine anything grosser than getting in a nice, clean bed un-showered. Your greasy hair would go all over your pillow (ew), and the thought of spreading BO all over the bed? Repulsive. Sorry, but your sheets really deserve more respect. Plus, showering at night means your linen goes just that little bit further (which means less time wasted on boring things like laundry, and more time spent on awesome things, like… showering).
Do you shower at night, or are you more of a morning person? Can you relate to any of these?

I always have my shower at night. I couldn’t bear the thought of getting into bed without washing away the days dirt and grime.

I like a warm shower at night especially in winter. Sometimes I have one after the beach during the day in summer.

Agree. I take a shower at night if really tired, or after high intensity exercise. Otherwise mornings work for me.

A morning shower leaves me fresh to start the day. I would never leave the house without having a shower first.

If I wash my curly hair at night , it is so frizzy when I wake up! It looks like a bird's nest (yuck), so I much prefer to wash it in the morning.
