The girls from The Bachelor: desperate or doing it for love?
Fighting openly over a man. Can you imagine such a thing?
Sharing a romantic date one night, only to have to exist with the knowledge that your fella is sharing a similar evening with another girl the very next night. It’s enough to make you turn a shade of emerald green.
If you feel similar to this, then appearing on The Bachelor is probably not for you. However, beautyheaven is currently an office divided when it comes to the ladies and their actions on the show.
For this reason, we thought we’d show the opinions of two beautyheaven members and start a discussion. Read through Liv and Vic’s views and then decide which opinion is most in sync with your own…
LIV SAYS… They’re desperate
Sorry, but every single girl on that show is stunning. None of them would struggle to find men to date. I honestly believe that the only reason they’re on the show is to raise their profile – and that’s okay – Kim Kardashian has proven that reality television is a great way to do that, but I think the show is a little far fetched altogether. Don’t get me wrong, I have no doubt that a few women on the show actually wouldn’t mind winding up with Tim – he’s hunky to say the least. I do however stand by my opinion that each girl purely wants to win; getting the guy is just an added bonus. No girl wants to be told to go home, it’s embarrassing – and to be honest, the desperate way they’re acting, clawing for his attention, is more embarrassing still.
VIC SAYS… They’re doing it for love
Imagine the scenario: you’ve been set up on a series of tragic dates with friends of friends, given online dating a go and even agreed to a drink with the office creep in your quest for love. But you still haven’t met your prince charming. So now it’s time for drastic measures - sign up for The Bachelor in the hope he might just fall in love with you. Yes, you’ll be competing with a host of other gorgeous women and yes, you could be rejected in front of an entire nation but this is what you’re willing to do for love. If it were a group of men trying to win the heart of The Bachelorette they’d be labelled romantic lotharios but because these are women they’re dismissed as desperate, fame-seeking bimbos. If the ladies wanted their five minutes of reality TV fame they’d sign up for Big Brother or Australia’s Got Talent. I genuinely believe these girls are doing it in the hope they’ll meet someone they can spend the rest of their lives with. Is it dreamy and unrealistic? Maybe. But there is a chance they might just find love. Kind of like when you buy a lotto ticket in the hope you might just win.
What do you think? In it for love or for the fame?
