Jordin Sparks just coined the best term for 'stretch marks'

Jordin Sparks has already wowed us with her hair and make-up, but now she’s made us love her look even more.
Chatting to People, the 25-year-old singer said some inspiring stuff about health, Instagram filters and – wait for it – her stretch marks.
Just like model Chrissy Teigan, the star’s totally fine with them, calling them her "tiger stripes".
This is the best term for stretch marks I’ve ever heard. In fact, if I had the singer’s gorgeous skin tone, I’d totally steal her descriptor.
Sadly, showing against my winter-white thighs, my own stretchies are more akin to “silver cobwebs” – which doesn’t sound nearly as fierce. *sad face*
I digress.
Jordin’s been incredibly committed to her health recently, but not with the strict diets or OTT calorie counting we’ve come to expect from celebs:
"I changed the way I thought about food and exercising," she says. "I listen to my body to tell me that I'm full."
As well as embracing healthy eating and exercise, Jordin also preaches self-acceptance:
"I'm good with my thighs touching," she comments. "I grew up in a family where we have meat on our bones."
We love the singer’s ‘real girl’ body attitude, but actions definitely speak louder than words.
That’s why we’re even more impressed by the singer’s stunning People photo-shoot, in which she appears 100 per cent un-retouched.
The same goes for her Instagram:
"For the most part, I don't put a filter on at all," she says.
"I post a lot of pictures without make-up and in sweats. I feel like sometimes people can really overkill on the [filters]. There are all these apps out there where you can Photoshop your body and take away everything. I feel like it's too much."
We couldn’t agree more, Jordin.
Do you embrace your ‘tiger stripes’, or are you still a bit self-conscious? What other celebs do you look to for body and health inspo?

I think it's partly genetics, I've been lucky enough to escape them despite having had a child. I do like the tiger stripes name though.

She reminds me a lot of Kelly Rowlands.

I developed tiger stripes when I was a young teenager. Now they are the least of my worries. I'm more concerned about debilitating health issues.

Good for her, great example to women who are always being pushed by into an unrealistic ideal of the perfect woman.

Never heard of her. I would prefer not to have my stretch marks, I'm petite and have never had children so I guess anyone can get them.

I have a few newer stretch marks that I would like to fade down like the rest, but it doesn't really bother me. Also, I don't get filters. I always think my photos look better without them.
