Our Mother's Day Gift Guide 2015

If you’ve already gotten a gift for your mum, we wholeheartedly applaud you. Mostly because the rest of us can’t even comprehend that April is already over (seriously though, where has this year gone?). Luckily, there’s still a week left for you to pick out the perfect present for your mum, mother-in-law, wife or loved one. And the exceptionally good news? We’ve made it so much easier by compiling some of the best gifts out there in the one handy guide...
Philips Pro Dryer
If your mum is all for practicality and buying things she actually needs, the Philips Pro Dryer is a winner. It’s designed to dry hair up to 50 per cent faster and offers ion conditioning for smooth, frizz-free results. In other words, she’ll probably use it every day and have you to thank for her fabulous hair.

Dr Lewinn’s Radiance Renewal Purse
Quality skin care can be expensive, but Dr LeWinn’s strikes the perfect balance between luxe and affordable. The Dr Lewinns Radiance Renewal Purse contains the Dr Lewinns Foaming Cleanser, Private Formula Firming Eye Cream and the iconic Private Formula Day Cream Moisturiser, all stored in a pretty purse. It’s valued at over $104, but it’ll only cost you $49.95. #bargain
Clarisonic Mia 2
The five-star rating for this cleansing brush speaks for itself. But if you need another reason to purchase this for your mum, it currently comes with a complimentary gift, including a Cashmere Cleanse Facial Brush Head for Mature / Dry Skin, a Detoxifying Clay Mask and an Oxford Road Striped Bag. If you ask us, it’s the perfect way to introduce your mum to a tool that’ll take her skin care to the next level.
Fusion by Pelactiv French Pear Fragrance Diffuser
Is your mum picky with her perfumes? No worries - you can still give her the gift of scent with this scrumptious Fusion by Pelactiv diffuser. It will fill her home with notes of pear and cinnamon, making it feel as warm and inviting to visitors as it does to you.
Elucent Whitening Hand Cream
If your mum is a sucker for hand creams, why not get her a new one to play around with? The Elucent Whitening Hand Cream will keep her hands moisturised, bright and protected - all while ridding them of any discolouration or dark spots.
The Elucent Whitening Hand Cream retails for $24.99, and you can get it here
MOR Marshmallow Moments Gift Pack
This girly gift pack contains a Hand & Body Wash, Hand & Body Milk and Eau De Parfum, all of which feature the yummy MOR marshmallow scent. Delicious and delightful - where’s the checkout?
Peter Alexander Floral Check Flannelette Pj’s ($99.95, www.peteralexander.com.au)
Do you tend to treat mum to essentials like slippers and PJs? Step it up this year with these cute and comfy floral ones. She’ll be nice and cosy (not to mention stylish) come winter.
UBU Smoke Screens Smokey Eye Brush Kit
For the mum who taught you everything there is to know about make-up, she’ll appreciate a brand new brush kit. And if you’re the mum in question, maybe just leave this page open on the family computer…
Salt & Pepper bud vase ($16.95, myer.com.au)
Flowers are a fabulous gift, but we reckon Mum deserves a pretty vase to put them in, too. That way, when the flowers wilt, she’ll still have something to keep and use for years to come.
L'OCCITANE Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc Star Gift
This gorgeous gift set from L'OCCITANE stars three beautiful iris scented products that mums everywhere are going to love layering. The set includes the Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc Eau de Toilette, Shower Gel and Body Milk.
Leather Cosmetic Bag ($150, www.murphydaughters.com.au)
Here at bh, we have a soft spot for beauty-obsessed mums. If yours matches that description, she might not need more products, but she’d probably love something to store them in. We love this leather cosmetic bag - it’s chic and sure to last for years to come.
ECOYA Mother’s Day Gift Pouch - Coconut & Elderflower
Shopping for the mother-in-law? You can’t go wrong with this candle and hand cream gift set. The fresh scent of coconut with elderflower is pleasant, and will add a little luxury to her day.
MOZI Forest Fable Ceramic Tea Pot and Saucers ($39.95 & $19.95, www.mozi.com.au)
This adorable teapot and saucer is a great gift for the lady who loves to entertain (or just can’t stop sipping tea). Make use of it straight away by celebrating your mum over a homemade high tea.
Kosmea Rose Body Collection
Nothing says love like rose-scented beauty products. This gift set includes the Kosmea Rose Body Lotion and Hydrating Rosewater mist so your mother can enjoy the scent of roses when she’s away from the garden.
Colette by Colette Hayman Nina Panelled Tote ($54.95, www.colettehayman.com.au)
When you were little, your mum’s handbag contained anything you could ever need - from band-aids to tissues and lip balm. So now you’ve grown, it might be nice to treat her to a classy new tote that’s just for her.
Which of the above gifts would your mum love? Or if you’re a mother yourself, which will you be telling the kids about?

The ECOYA candle was given to my family as a gift at Christmas time; it has been placed in our bathroom and a large number of guests comment on the beautiful smell it gives off even when not lit. t has converted those not keen on candles to go out and purchase one. A nice, fresh and natural smell.

I was flicking through here thinking of what hints I could drop hubby to get me on behalf of the kids and stumbled upon this awesome comp! I'm lusting over the paisley leather print make up case, the tea set and anything Kosmea is a winner! For myself or even my mum you can never go past pj's or slippers for Mothers Day :-)
